Amavubi of Rwanda captain Djihad Bizimana has said there is no cause for concern facing the the forward line of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The Super Eagles boast some of the best forwards in Africa who are doing well for their clubs in Europe, with the likes of Victor Osimhen, Victor Boniface, Ademola Lookman and Tolu Arokodare having impressive seasons.
However, since the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the Super Eagles have only managed four goals in four matches, three of them scored by midfielders Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Rachael Onyedika, and defender Semi Ajayi.
The only forward player who has scored in the World Cup qualifiers is Kelechi Iheanacho.
“We played Nigeria twice already and there’s nothing to worry about at all with them having the strongest attacking line in Africa. As players, we are focused on holding them down,” Bizimana told the pre-match press conference.
“We will play to our coach’s instructions and hopefully, we will take our chances and get the three points.”
Rwanda have dropped to second in Group C following the 2-2 draw between Zimbabwe and new leaders Benin Republic, while the Super Eagles are fifth.
