It is almost a full house in the Super Eagles camp in Kigali following the arrival of nine more players on Tuesday morning in preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
According to the Super Eagles media team, captain William Troost-Ekong, Wilfred Ndidi, Calvin Bassey, Ademola Lookman and Alex Iwobi all arrived in the morning, along with Joe Aribo, new invitee Igoh Ogbu, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ola Aina.
Valencia striker Sadiq Umar joined up with the rest of the squad later.
Several of the players had arrived from Europe on Monday night, including Moses Simon, Raphael Onyedika, Victor Boniface, Jordan Torunarigha, Stanley Nwabali and Samuel Chukwueze.
Victor Osimhen and five others were the first set to land in Kigali on Sunday evening.
Following the arrival of the 10 players on Tuesday, the number of players in camp is now 22, with only United States of America-based Alhassan Yusuf still being expected.
The Super Eagles will hold their first training session under new head coach Eric Chelle on Tuesday.
Rwanda will host the Super Eagles on Friday, with Zimbabwe visiting the three-time African champions in Uyo four days later.
Rwanda, who top World Cup qualifying Group C with seven points, are four points ahead of the Super Eagles, who are in danger of missing out on the Mundial twice in a row for the first time since their 1994 debut.
