Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has resumed individual training as he recovers from a muscle problem that has kept him out of action since September 28.
On Saturday, Galatasaray shared on X a short video of Osimhen undertaking solo drills and runs, hinting of his potential return. In addition, the Turkish giants shared pictures of the 25-year-old working with the ball.
“Victor Osimhen is undergoing a tailored training program separate from the team,” a post on the club’s official account read.
However, Galatasaray, where he is on loan from Napoli, have not confirmed if he would be fit for their trip to Antalyaspor in the league on October 19.
Osimhen sustained the injury in the club’s 3-3 draw with Kasimpasa at the RAMS Park, where he opened his goal account for the club with a brace. One of his two goals was voted as Goal of the Week by beIN SPORTS, garnering a remarkable 77.96 percent of the total votes.
The Nigeria international has scored two goals and registered four assists in four matches for the club.
Osimhen’s injury kept him out of Nigeria’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying double-header against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya.
