Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa, who has been recalled after a long absence, was one of the first players to arrive in the team’s camp in London for the Unity Cup tournament.
The Kano Pillars forward led the invited Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) players to London on Monday, where they were joined by Europe-based stars.
Among the 20 players in camp as at Monday afternoon were Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, Nantes forward Moses Simon, Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers and Bayer Leverkusen forward Nathan Tella.
The Super Eagles will be participating in the Unity Cup along with their arch-rivals Ghana, as well as Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago.
The tournament, to be held at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium, will kick off on Tuesday and end on Saturday.
The Unity Cup will open with the first semi-final on Tuesday between Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica in the first-ever ‘Trini-Jam’ on UK soil.
The following day, three-time African champions Nigeria will take on four-time African champions Ghana in the second semi-final.
All four teams will return on Saturday, with the losers of the semi-final fixtures featuring in the third-place game, before the final to determine the Unity Cup 2025 champions.
