Super Eagles midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, scored his first goal for Lazio in their 3-0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv on matchday 1 of the UEFA Europa League on Wednesday night.
The Nigeria international also registered the assist for Lazio’s third goal in the game. He netted the club’s second goal in the 33rd minute after Boulaye Dia had put them in the lead after four minutes. Two minutes after his goal, Dia completed his brace, with Dele-Bashiru providing the assist.
Both sides were reduced to 10 men each in the second half.
Manchester United continued their unimpressive start to the season, as they could only manage a 1-1 draw with Dutch side FC Twente at Old Trafford.
Christian Eriksen put United ahead after 35 minutes but he went from hero to zero, as his sloppiness helped the visitors equalise through Sam Lammers in the second half.
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen registered his third assist in three matches for Galatasaray in their their 3-1 Europa League win over PAOK Saloniki in Turkey.
Baba Rahman’s own goal gave the home side the lead in the 48th minute but Giannis Konstantelias equalised for the visitors.
Osimhen provided the assist as Yunus Akgun restored their lead in the 75th minute before Mauro Icardi replaced the Napoli loanee and sealed the win for Galatasaray.
In France, Nice and Real Sociedad played out a 1-1 draw at the Allianz Riviera. The visitors took the lead after 18 minutes through Ander Barrenetxea but Pablo Rosario helped his side avoid defeat at home, when he pulled them level on the stroke of half-time.
In Denmark, FC Midtjylland and Hoffenheim shared the spoils in a 1-1 drsw. Dario Osorio opened the scoring for the home side in the 42nd minute but Hoffenheim fought back and equalised one minute from time through Max Moerstedt.
