Manchester City are in danger of crashing out of this season’s UEFA Champions League following their dramatic 4-2 defeat to PSG in Paris on Wednesday night.
Two quick goals from Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland on 50 and 53 minutes respectively put City 2-0 ahead.
Ousmane Dembele pulled a goal back for PSG in the 56th minute before Bradley Barcola made it 2-2 in the 60th minute.
In the 79th minute PSG completed the comeback as Joao Neves put them 3-2 ahead.
Goncalo Ramos then added the fourth goal for the hosts on 96 minutes.
Ramos’ goal was initially ruled out for offiside but was eventually given after consultation with VAR.
The defeat leaves City in 25th place in the 36-team league, which is outside of both the knockout rounds and play-off qualification spots.
Ligue 1 champions PSG are currently in 22nd place after brightening their chance of finishing within 24th spot and a play-off place.
At the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal gave their hopes of automatic qualification a big boost with a 3-0 win against Dinamo Zagreb.
The Gunners put behind them their disappointing 2-2 draw with Aston Villa at the weekend and took the lead against Dinamo just two minutes on the clock courtesy of Declan Rice.
Kai Havertz, who had set up Rice for the opener, made it 2-0 in the 66th minute, and captain Martin Odegaard added the third goal in the 91st minute.
Mikel Arteta’s men moved up to third spot in the league table.
