Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was back among the goals on Sunday, scoring twice in Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw at Kasimpasa in the Turkish Super Lig.
Osimhen striker had failed to score in his last two matches for Galatasaray before Sunday’s brace.
With the result, Galatasaray missed the chance to extend their lead over second-placed Fenerbahce in the league table, while Kasimpasa are 10th.
A win against Kasimpasa would have temporarily taken Galatasaray nine points clear of their rivals who will host Antalyaspor later on Sunday.
Osimhen broke the deadlock in the 11th minute from the penalty spot but Mortadha Ben Ouanes equalised for Kasimpasa on 52 minutes and Josip Brekalo gave the hosts the lead nine minutes later.
Galatasaray were back on level terms through Davinson Sanchez in the 69th minute while Osimhen grabbed his second to put his side 3-2 up on 71 minutes.
Osimhen has now contributed 16 goals and four assists in 20 appearances to Galatasaray’s title charge this season.
But with five minutes left on the clock, Haris Hajradinovic levelled up for the home team with a penalty.
In another Turkish top flight encounter on Sunday, Super Eagles midfielder Ibrahim Olawoyin scored in Rizespor’s 3-1 home win against Alanyaspor.
It was Olawoyin’s third goal in 22 league appearances this season.
Olawoyin scored to make it 3-1 against Alanyaspor in the 85th minute, and the 27-year-old Nigeria international was taken off in the third minute of stoppage time.
Also in action for Rizespor was David Akintola who also went off in the 73rd minute.
