Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho could be on his way out of Sevilla in January, according to reports in Spain.
The Nigeria international, 28, joined the LaLiga club on a free transfer in August after leaving Leicester City, but has struggled for form.
Having scored no goals in nine LaLiga appearaces for Sevilla, the club are keen to let go of Iheanacho less than six months into his time in Spain.
Marca claimed that Iheanacho is almost certain to leave Sevilla during next month’s winter transfer window.
The club’s sporting department, led by sporting director Victor Orta, is believed to have plans to sign a new striker because of the lack of goals so far this season, and as such, Iheanacho is the one that would be sent packing.
The other senior striker at Sevilla, Isaac Romero, has also misfired this season with just one goal in 14 LaLiga appearances, but it is Iheanacho they are set to sacrifice in order to freshen the forward line with a new hitman.
Overall, Iheanacho has scored three goals in 11 matches, all the goals coming from two games in the Copa del Rey.
Sevilla are currently 11th in the LaLiga table with 22 points from 17 matches.
