Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen opened his goal account for Galatasaray with two goals on Saturday in the club’s 3-3 draw with Kasimpasa in the Super Lig.
Having registered three assists for the club in his first three matches, Osimhen got off the mark in the 20th minute of Saturday’s clash at the RAMS Park.
After his first goal, Osimhen did a cheeky celebration, displaying a shirt with ‘finally’ written at the back.
The 25-year-old Nigeria international completed his brace in the 28th minute, and six minutes later, Mauro Icardi added the third to give Galatasaray a 3-0 lead. However, Galatasaray capitulated and allowed the visitors come back to end the game at 3-3
The reigning African Player of the Year has now registered five goal involvements in four matches for Galatasaray: two goals and three assists.
Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo was on the opposing side to Osimhen, coming on to replace Mortadha Ben Quanes in the 30th minute for Kasimpasa.
It is the fourth substitute appearance for the 30-year-old centre-back this season after starting Kasimpasa’s opening match, a 3-2 defeat to Konyaspor in August. He was not in the squad for the last two games.
Galatasaray remain top of the league with 19 points, while Kasimpasa are 12th, 12 points adrift.
