Two stoppage time goals from Darwin Nunez secured a 2-0 victory for Liverpool at Brentford in the English Premier League on Saturday, earning the leaders their first victory in three fixtures.
Liverpool looked to be heading for a third consecutive draw in the league before Nunez struck twice in added time.
The Uruguayan, who came on in the 65th minute, broke the deadlock in the 91st minute off an assist from Trent Alexander-Arnold.
He then sealed the three points for the Reds when he added the second goal two minutes later after being set up by Harvey Elliot.
The victory means Liverpool have temporarily gone seven points clear of second-placed Arsenal in the league table.
The Gunners can cut the gap back to four points if they beat Aston Villa later on Saturday.
At the Kings Power Stadium, Super Eagles pair Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey featured for Fulham who defeated struggling Leicester City 2-0.
Second-half strikes from Emile Smith Rowe and Adama Traore sealed the win for Fulham.
It is a return to winning ways for Fulham while Leicester have now lost their last seven league games.
West Ham lost 2-0 to visiting Crystal Palace thanks to a Jean-Philippe Mateta double.
Earlier on Saturday, Newcastle suffered a 4-1 defeat to Bournemouth at St James’ Park.
