The Week 4 of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) serves up mouthwatering fixtures which start with two games on Saturday.
Newcomers Ikorodu City will hope to record their first win of the season when they host Nasarawa United at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.
The Oga Boys lost their rescheduled matchday 2 home clash against Enugu Rangers 1-0 on Wednesday, and would want to repay their fans, who defied the rains to cheer them.
Ikorodu City picked their only point of the season so far last weekend in Ilorin, where they forced Kwara United to a 0-0 draw.
Their visitors from Lafia in Nasarawa State are also winless this season. They drew 1-1 in their opening game of the season at home with Shooting Stars, played 0-0 in their second game and lost 4-3 at home last weekend against El-Kanemi Warriors.
In the other game, Akwa United will hope to inflict more misery on Sunshine Stars and bag their first win of the campaign, when they host the Akure-based outfit at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
The Promise Keepers drew 0-0 in their first game of the campaign at Lobi Stars, followed by a 1-1 draw at home to Abia Warriors. Akwa United’s matchday 3 encounter against Enyimba was postponed, due to the latter’s engagement in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Sunshine Stars have failed to win their last two matches and have struggled since the 3-0 win over Bayelsa United on the first day of the season.
