Ahmed Musa starred for Kano Pillars again as they defeated Rangers 4-3 in Enugu on Wednesday, the Super Eagles forward having a hand in all of his side’s four goals.

The former Leicester City star scored one of the goals, assisted another and won two penalties as Pillars took a 4-0 lead in the first half at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.

Musa scored his third goal in three league matches this season with a strike in the 45th minute, with Rabiu Ali netting a brace from the penalty spot and Zulkifilu Rabiu scoring the other goal.

Rangers scored three goals in the second half but it was too little too late. Isaac Savior struck twice and Emmanuel Nenrot scored their third in the 90th minute.

Former Super Eagles striker and coach Daniel Amokachi was denied his first win as Lobi Stars coach after El-Kanemi Warriors came from behind with two second half goals to force a 2-2 draw at the Lafia Township Stadium.

A brace by Ossy Martins gave Lobi Stars a two-goal lead in Amokachi’s first home game but Ibrahim Mustapha rescued a point on the road for the visitors with two goals of his own to maintain El-Kanemi Warriors’ unbeaten run this term.

In Ilorin, Kwara United inflicted on Sunshine Stars their biggest defeat of the season so far, the Afonja Warriors winning 3-0 win against Kennedy Boboye’s side.

Two goals from Wasiu Alalade and a late strike by Abdulkareem Shola secured the comfortable victory for the hosts’ second win of the campaign.
