Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi and his Leicester City teammates continued their poor run of form in the English Premier League by losing 3-0 to Newcastle United at the King Power Stadium on Monday night.
The result means Leicester City became the first club in English football league history to lose eight home games in a row without scoring.
A brace from Jacob Murphy and a strike from former Leicester forward Harvey Barnes moved Newcastle into fifth place in the league table, while the Foxes remain 19th, 15 points away from safety.
Ndidi made his 22nd league appearance this season as he played 90 minutes in the match.
Newcastle took the lead in the second minutes as Tino Livramento fired across the face of goal and Murphy was on hand to turn it into the net at the back post.
Murphy grabbed his and Newcastle’s second goal in the 11th minute after Fabian Schar’s initial effort from long way out had hit the crossbar.
Newcastle took the game beyond the hosts in the 34th minute as Barnes scored from a rebound after Joelinton’s shot was saved.
