Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman is reportedly available to leave Atalanta in the January transfer window and could be sold for €30 million.
Lookman had allegedly wanted to force an exit from the club in the summer after reportedly agreeing personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain, but Atalanta blocked the move and opted to open contract extension talks instead with the winger.
The Nigeria international was a key figure for the Italian club last season, scoring 17 goals, including a hat-trick in the final of the UEFA Europa League against Bayer Leverkusen to help them lift their first-ever European trophy.
Reports out of Germany have claimed that Lookman is still looking forward to a new challenge and could ask to be released in the January if the right offer comes along.
It is believed that the wide forward, whose current contract expires in 2026, would be let go by Atalanta if they receive an offer of between €25m to €30m in January.
It was reported that one of the reasons why Atalanta did not allow Lookman leave last summer was the lack of time to find a suitable replacement.
Lookman was rewarded for his impressive display last season as the only African on the list of 30 contenders for the 2024 Ballon d’Or award set for later this month.
The former RB Leipzig player is also a major contender for the 2024 CAF player of the year award.
