Leeds United have shown an interest in Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho, according to Football Insider.
Iheanacho has been reported to be available for a late January loan move after failing to establish himself in the starting XI at Sevilla.
Leeds, who are in the second-tier English Championship, have shortlisted and made contact over a deal for the Nigeria international but face strong competition from clubs in England and across Europe’s top leagues.
On January 9, Football Insider reported that Wolves and Ipswich Town had opened preliminary talks to sign the 28-year-old.
He only left Leicester to join Sevilla on a free transfer last August following their promotion.
The former Manchester City forward has made 11 appearances across all competitions for Sevilla this season, scoring three goals.
Iheanacho is under contract with Sevilla until June 2026, with the Spanish club holding the option to extend his deal an extra 12 months.
