Juventus are reportedly interested in Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen to add cutting edge to their attack, according to reports out of Italy.
The Serie A giants were forced to a 0-0 draw at the Allianz Stadium by Napoli on Saturday, meaning they have failed to score in their last three league matches.
The main man in attack Dusan Vlahovic has struggled to live up to expectations at Juventus since his big-money move from Fiorentina in 2022, and they are considering replacing him.
The 24-year-old Serbian has scored two goals in five Italian top flight matches so far this season, but they both came in the 3-0 win at Hellas Verona last month.
Vlahovic was subbed off in the clash against Napoli at half-time, which has been described as a sign of Thiago Motta’s frustration with the attacker’s struggles.
According to Area Napoli on Sunday, quoting Rai Sport, the Turin giants are considering alternatives to Vlahovic.
“Juventus haven’t scored in the league for 328 minutes and have a couple of situations to discuss: Vlahovic was replaced despite the absence of a reserve striker and Douglas Luiz (0 minutes) was on the bench for the fifth time in six official matches,” Rai Sport said.
“The message from Thiago Motta seems clear: Vlahovic either wakes up or while waiting for the transfer market he could end up on the bench. The alternative is David from Lille for January but the real objective remains Osimhen.”
However, it was reported over the summer transfer window that Napoli president, Aurelio de Laurentiis, does not intend to sell Osimhen to rivals in the league.
The Nigeria international is currently on loan at Galatasaray.
