Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has said he is worth more than €100 million.
Osimhen joined Napoli in 2020 for a club-record fee of €80 million deal and his market value rose significantly as he impressed in Italy.
According to Transfermarkt, it increased to a career-high €120m after he helped Napoli to the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years two seasons ago. He became the first African to win the Golden Boot in the history of the Italian top flight after netting 26 goals.
The 25-year-old said he is convinced of what he is capable of in any team.
“I am worth more than €100 million. There are few players like me in the world who have achieved the same results and success as me,” Osimhen told Tutto Sport.
“Everything is linked to my characteristics, the things I do on the pitch and my quality. I think I deserve a high valuation.
“I am aware of the contribution I can give to a team. Do people think differently? Some say 15 million euros, others say 100-120-150. Everyone has different opinions.”
The reigning African Player of the Year is currently spending the 2024/2025 on loan at Galatasaray, and there are reports that his release clause has been lowered from €130m by Napoli after the failure to secure a permanent transfer to Chelsea in the summer.
Osimhen scored two goals in Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw with Kasimpasa at the RAMS Park last weekend to open his goal account for the club after registering three assists in his first three matches.
He is being linked with an exit in January after it reportedly emerged that Napoli have reduced the exit clause in his contract to €90m.
