Second-tier Championship bottom club Plymouth Argyle recorded a shock 1-0 win at Brentford in the English FA Cup third round on Saturday.
Morgan Whittaker was the hero for the struggling side as his 82nd minute strike was enough to seal the biggest upset in the third round so far.
Brentford had 71 percent ball possession to Plymouth’s 29, had two shots on target compared to the visitors’ one and also had nine corner kicks while the Championship strugglers only had three.
At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea ended their winless run with a comfortable 5-0 win against League Two side Morecambe.
Centre-back with Nigerian heritage Tosin Adarabioyo and Joao Felix scored two goals each while Christopher Nkunku got the other goal for the rampant Blues.
Chelsea had failed to win any of their last four games heading into Saturday’s fixture.
At the Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth came from 1-0 down to thrash Championship club West Bromwich Albion 5-1.
Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi is still out injured while Josh Maja was also not in the Baggies squad.
Caleb Taylor gave West Brom the lead in the 14th minute but goals from Justin Kluivert (27th minute) and a brace from Dango Ouattara (34th and 44th minutes) gave Bournemouth a 3-1 lead.
Just three minutes into the second half, Black Stars of Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo made it 4-1 before Daniel Jebbison got the fifth goal in the 92nd minute.
Meanwhile, in other FA Cup ties Leicester, without the injured Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, trounced QPR 6-2, Exeter beat Oxford United 3-1, Nottingham Forest with Taiwo Awoniyi in action beat Luton Town 2-0, Sunderland lost 1-0 to Stoke City, and Burnley recorded a 3-1 win at Reading.
