Super Eagles stars Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey were in action for Fulham as they were beaten 3-0 in the English FA Cup quarter-finals by Crystal Palace at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
Both Iwobi and Bassey returned to club duties for Fulham after featuring for Nigeria in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe last week and this week.
Bassey played for 90 minutes on Saturday while Iwobi was replaced in the 82nd minute.
Eberechi Eze, the England midfielder with Nigerian roots, scored and had an assist while Ismaila Sarr and former Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah were also on target.
Eze opened the scoring in the 34th minute and turned provider as he set up Sarr who doubled the lead four minutes later.
Nketiah added the third goal for Palace 15 minutes from time.
The other FA Cup quarter-finals on Saturday is between Brighton and Hove Albion and Nottingham Forest at the AMEX.
On Sunday, Preston North End will host Aston Villa while Bournemouth will battle Manchester City at the Vitality Stadium.
