Nigerian forward Rafiu Durosinmi scored for Viktoria Plzen but a stoppage time strike by Gustav Isaksen earned nine-man Lazio a 2-1 victory in the UEFA Europa League round of 16 first leg clash in the Czech Republic on Thursday.
It was the third appearance for the 22-year-old Durosinmi in the competition this season, with two goals and an assist.
Alessio Romagnoli gave Lazio the lead on 18 minutes but Durosinmi pulled the home team level eight minutes into the second half.
Lazio were reduced to 10 men 13 minutes from time after Nicolo Rovella was shown a straight red card and were further depleted in stoppage time as Samuel Gigot was also sent off.
Still, the nine men struck deep into added time, with Isaksen netting the winner.
In Norway, Bodo/Glimt trounced Olympiacos 3-0 with Super Eagles left-back Bruno Onyemaechi featuring for the Greek side.
Onyemaechi was thrown into the action with nine minutes left on the clock with Olympiacos already trailing by three goals.
It was Olympiacos’ first defeat since losing 1-0 to Asteras Tripolis on October 27 in a Greek top flight clash.
In the other late kick-offs on Thursday night, AS Roma edged out Athletic Bilbao 2-1 in Rome and Eintracht Frankfurt defeated Ajax 2-1 in the Netherlands.
The reverse fixtures will be played next Thursday.
