Derek Chisora has made a bold claim that Anthony Joshua will knock both Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk out.
Chisora predicted that Joshua secure stoppages against Fury and Usyk, if the Nigerian-Briton fights the Ukrainian again, to become undisputed heavyweight world champion.
“AJ will knock Fury out in six rounds and he will stop Usyk in round four. I’m telling you now”, Chisora told talkSPORT talkBOXING on Tuesday.
“Because now he’s got the right dancing partner, his trainer. That guy hasn’t stopped watching the two tapes of him fighting Usyk.
“Because he wants that fight badly, he wants the rematch. He wants Usyk to win the fight with Fury.”
Chisora, a heavyweight veteran, is approaching the end of his own career in which he has shared the ring with almost every top heavyweight boxer.
The 40-year-old now has 48 fights under his belt and intends to make it 50 before quitting the sport in 2025.
The Zimbabwean-British boxer has taken on both Fury and Usyk in his career, and has trained with AJ on many occasions as they shared the same amateur gym, Finchley ABC.
Chisora is a good friend of the three boxers but has the closest bond with Joshua. He believes that he has now seen enough to believe the England-born boxer of Nigerian descent can take out Fury and Usyk.
AJ, 34, is already a two-time heavyweight world champion, but lost his belts in defeats to Andy Ruiz and Usyk.
While he avenged the loss to the Mexican-American, Joshua was unable to overcome the Ukrainian, and succumbed to defeat against him on two occasions.
However, he has rebounded with four straight wins and looked impressive in his last two performances under new trainer, Ben Davison.
Asked if AJ will become undisputed, Chisora replied: “Yes…I think the changes he’s made are Ben Davison and the people around him round him now.
“They’re listening to him, they’re understanding. They’ve gelled now.
“He was not knocking out his sparring partners and now he’s knocking them out. Because of Ben Davison.”
