Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface missed a penalty but scored the winning goal for Bayer Leverkusen in their 2-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Bundesliga on Saturday.
Leverkusen were awarded a penalty after just seven minutes following a VAR review, and Boniface stepped up but missed the kick at the BayArena.
The visitors were awarded their own spot-kick in the 15th minute and scored through

Nigeria international Boniface netted the goal that earned his side all the three points in the 71st minute, to show that he has shaken off the ordeal he went through with Super Eagles players in Libya for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying campaign earlier this week.
Boniface continues his impressive form for the Bundesliga champions this season, as he has now scored five goals and registered one assist in seven league matches.
