Belgian Pro League club Royal Antwerp have signed Nigerian youngsters Orseer Achihi and Gabriel David.
“Orseer Achihi and Gabriel Jesus David sign a contract at the Bosuil. Both Nigerians come from P Sports Football Academy,” Royal Antwerp stated on Friday.
“With Achihi (18) RAFC brings a Nigerian winger to the Bosuil. He signs a contract for 5 seasons.
“The attacker Gabriel Jesus David (18) makes a temporary transfer to The Great Old until the end of the season with an option for a permanent transfer.”
Royal Antwerp is the former club of Super Eagles midfielder Alhassan Yusuf (from 2021 to 2024), who now plays in Major League Soccer (MLS) with the New England Revolution.
Another Super Eagles star Chidera Ejuke, who now features for Sevilla, was on loan at Royal Antwerp in the 2023/2024 campaign.
Founded in 1880, Royal Antwerp have been crowned champions of the Belgian Jupiler five times.
The last time they won the league title was in 2022/2023.
They have won the Belgian Cup four times, Belgian Super Cup once and finished runners-up in the now defunct European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1993, losing 3-1 to Parma.
