AFCON qualifiers: The Super Eagles will begin their preparation in full on Tuesday evening for the Morocco 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
The three-time African champions will start full training sessions on Tuesday evening at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, the venue of the clash against Benin Republic, from 5pm.
As at Tuesday afternoon, 18 players have arrived at the Super Eagles’ Four Points by Sheraton camp to prepare for the two matches: in Uyo against Benin Republic on Saturday and in Kigali against Rwanda three days later.
The first set of players to arrive were led in by captain William Troost-Ekong on Monday.
By the end of the day, he had been joined by Ola Aina, Semi Ajayi, Ademola Lookman, Olisa Ndah and Taiwo Awoniyi.
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Wilfred Ndidi, Amos Obasogie, Victor Boniface and Stanley Nwabali also arrived later in the day.
On Tuesday, Alex Iwobi, Frank Onyeka, Calvin Bassey, Moses Simon, Alhassan Yusuf, Benjamin Tanimu and Samuel Chukwueze joined the squad, bringing the number of players in camp to 18.
