A stoppage time goal by Tammy Abraham earned AC Milan a dramatic 3-2 comeback win against city rivals Inter Milan in the Italian Super Cup final in Saudi Arabia on Monday night.
Inter looked set to clinch a fourth consecutive Italian Super Cup victory and also a record-equaling ninth title after they raced to a 2-0 lead courtesy of goals from Lautaro Martinez and Mehdi Taremi in either half.
But goals from Theo Hernandez, Christian Pulisic and Abraham secured the comeback win for new AC Milan coach Sergio Conceição.
Milan are now tied with Inter on eight Italian Super Cup titles while Juventus remain the most successful team in the competition with nine.
Inter took the lead first-half added time through Argentina international Martinez and just two minutes into the second half Taremi made it 2-0.
Milan pulled a goal back thanks to Hernandez who scored in the 52nd minute before former Chelsea star Pulisic equalised in the 80th minute.
Then, in the 93rd minute, another former Chelsea player Abraham netted the winner to seal the win for Milan.
Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze did not feature for Milan as he is sidelined with injury.
