Super Falcons of Nigeria will take on Benin Republic in the final round of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers.
The pairing was confirmed after Benin Republic beat Sierra Leone 3-1 away in Monday’s first round, second leg match and went through 5-2 on aggregate.
The Super Falcons and Benin Republic will clash twice between October 20 and October 28.
Benin Republic’s Aude Gbedjissi is the current top scorer in the qualifiers with three goals.
The top four teams at the 2026 WAFCON will qualify directly for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
Two additional teams will have the chance to join them through the inter-confederation playoffs.
Meanwhile, the 2024 WAFCON will also take place in Morocco from July 5 to July 26 this year.
The Super Falcons are in Group B with Tunisia, Algeria and Botswana.
South Africa’s Banyana Banyana are the reigning champions.
